The B+W 52mm XS-Pro UV Haze MRC-Nano 010M filter is a general purpose clear filter designed to absorb UV light and reduce the bluish cast of daylight. Apart from reducing unwanted blue tints, no additional coloration or contrast is created, and no exposure adjustment is required when using this filter. To prevent internal ghosting and reflections while still delivering over 99.8% light transmission, each glass surface has multiple layers of anti-reflective coating. This multi-layer coating (MRC) also provides more protection to the filter substrate and helps it stay cleaner longer than uncoated filters. Nano coating associated with XS-Pro filters provides an additional eighth layer on top of the MRC,The black and white filters are made from Schott glass for enhanced optical clarity and color fidelity. This filter features a thin brass filter ring to minimize the chance of vignetting while improving durability and preventing jamming. To further reduce the possibility of vignetting when using this filter, the outside diameter of the filter ring is slightly larger than the actual thread size. This may prevent the use of bayonet caps by some lens manufacturers.This UV haze filter is also useful as a general protective filter that can always be left on the lenses.
